NonToxic Dad News: Sept. 8, 2023

Hello Readers!

Welcome to our first edition of "Non-Toxic Weekly," your source for creating a non-toxic lifestyle that nourishes your body, soul, and planet. We're thrilled to have you here! 🌿

This Week on Social Media, I talked about:

Blog Spotlights:

What’s in Your Skittles?

As a dad who cares about what goes into my family’s bodies, I’ve been doing some research into processed foods lately, beyond the Skittles Ban. You might have heard about the California State Assembly’s proposed bill, AB 418. It’s looking to ban several ingredients we often find in processed foods. Red dye No. 3 – the stuff that makes Skittles colorful – is on the chopping block. But here’s the thing, friends: this is only the tip of the iceberg. There are so many other possibly harmful ingredients lurking in our snacks and quick dinners.

Forever Chemical in Your Tapwater?!

I want to talk to you about something that has been making headlines lately and is of great concern to all: Forever Chemicals, also known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), in our tap water. It’s a complicated issue, but it’s essential for us to understand what’s going on and how it can affect our families. So, grab a cup of coffee and dive into this topic together.
